The Government has extended the Free Water intervention policy program to December 31,2020.

The Press Release to this effect signed by the sector Minister Hon Cecilia Abena Dapaah  and issued  on Thursday stated that the extension of the policy was intended to enable Ghanaians have  access to regular supply of water to continue with the observance of the COVID 19 safety protocols, especially with regards to the washing of hands under running water which is one of the key intervention measures towards the fight against the pandemic.

The statement asked all  Landlords  and tanker service providers to refrain from billing tenants and selling water to consumers since Government is paying for the water.

The statement also requested all consumers to use water judiciously during the period.
