MINISTER COMMISSIONS 38 INSTITUTIONAL TOILETS IN GREATER KUMASI

The Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Hon. Dr. Freda Akosua Prempeh was joined by World Bank Representatives to commission 38 Institutional Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facilities for schools in Greater Kumasi on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

The facilities which form part of the 129 institutional toilet facilities to be provided within the Greater Kumasi under the GAMA/GKMA Sanitation and Water Project are being funded by the World Bank, with support from Government of Ghana.

Ninety-One (91) out of the 129 facilities are at the various stages of completion across Greater Kumasi.

In attendance at the commissioning were a team the World Bank led by Anna Cestari, Practice Manager, Water Global Practice for West and Central Africa, Chief Director, other Directors from the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources and Project Coordinator and Officials from the GAMA/GKMA Sanitation and Water Project.
