HOMOWO CLEANUP EXERCISE BEGINS

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nii Ga, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has collaborated with the Greater Accra Coordinating Council, Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources (MSWR), Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI), Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Zoomlion and Others to begin a massive cleanup exercise in Greater Accra.

Shops and Businesses in and around Sempe, Abola, Gbese and Asere remained closed as residents within these areas participated in the exercise yesterday.

Day 2 will see to the cleaning of James Town, Otublohum, Akannmajen, and its environs.

Other stakeholders who took part in the exercise were the Sanitation Task Force of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), Ministry of Interior with personnel from Ghana Police Service, the Ghana National Fire Service, and the Ghana Immigration Service in order to ensure that the exercise went on smoothly.
